Today, we use regular bandages for injuries, but someday, we could use our own cells to create a bandage patch. A study from @DLR_en is demonstrating this tech on the @Space_Station, which could be used both on Earth and by astronauts headed to Mars. go.nasa.gov/3AsRMrf

We are really excited to see our friends @NASASpaceSci join the Twitterverse! Follow along for updates on critical biological and physical science research that will enable future crewed missions on the Moon and Mars!
Research delivered to @Space_Station on SpaceX-24 could lead to heartier plants. Studying roots & shoots in microgravity could help scientists design plants better able to withstand extreme conditions, both on deep-space missions and here on Earth. go.nasa.gov/3ylUpK5

On Earth, plants use gravity to draw water upwards through the roots, but plants must rely on a different method of watering in the low-gravity environment of the @Space_Station, An omni-gravitational hydroponics system may be the answer to this challenge. go.nasa.gov/3GIeCgy

Busy weekend on @Space_Station…3 plant experiments, microbial tracking, miniaturized electron telescope, & superheating new alloys. Things don’t always work out though, so @NASA_Astronauts also do fixer-upper work. The commute home at end of a @NASA workday is a beautiful ride.

Being able to grow plants on long-duration spaceflight missions is vital, but the space environment is not optimal for plant growth. A recently delivered @ISS_Research investigation may help scientists design heartier plants for both deep space and Earth. go.nasa.gov/3HXwx34
